Bhangra: Bhangra dance is a lively form of folk music and dance that originates from Punjab (a state in northwest India). People traditionally performed Bhangra when celebrating the harvest season. It is an exuberant dance, traditionally performed by men, however, ladies are also joining in the celebrations. While Bhangra began as a part of harvest festival celebrations, it eventually became a part of such diverse occasions as weddings and New Year celebrations. Bharatnatyam: Bharatnatyam dance is a classical dance form originating in Southern India. Some consider it the National dance of India as it is the most commonly learned version of the South Indian styles. It is a very spiritual dance form that pays tribute to the Hindu gods and mythology. It is a regimented study that takes many years to master.
